PREAMBLE:
Following months of consultations, frantic efforts and rigmarole, the process of picking  a consensus Presidential flagbearer from among new breed Presidential hopefuls of the third political force for the 2019 elections, climaxed last weekend in Nigeria as over seven million Nigerians mostly youths and women, among others, voted to pick their preferred consensus Presidential Candidate

OUTCOME:
At close of collation and count of votes on Thursday, 14th February 2019, our poll Moderators and Panellists with strong mandate from Alliance for Defence of Democracy ADD, Facilitators of the third force Presidential primary polls are satisfied to declare Gbenga Olawepo Hashim, Presidential  Candidate of the People’s Trust PT as the Consensus Presidential flagbearer for the freshbreed, third force political parties to slug it out with President Muhammadu Buhari of the APC and Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar during Saturday’s  Presidential elections

The polls conducted online by our team of panelists commissioned by Alliance for Defence of Democracy ADD, a newly launched advocacy Coalition of third force stakeholders in the country witnessed an unprecedented seven  million, five hundred and thirty nine (7,539,000) votes in all, especially from young adults and professionals between the ages 18 and 45, who desire political ideological paradigm shift in the politics and governance of Nigeria, we wish to announce

However, In a somewhat innovative dimension, Voters were requested to choose three Presidential candidates from among five already shortlisted contenders namely; Donald Duke of SDP, Kingsley Moghalu of YPP, Fela Durotoye of ANN, Omoyele Sowore of AAC and Olawepo Hashim of PT who eventually clinched the consensus presidential ticket of the third force to lead the fresh breed credible Alternatives against the presidential flagbearers of the APC and PDP in Saturday’s general elections

RESULTS:
The results of the polls collated by the Tactical Selection Council led by Prof Anthony kila, Director of Centre for International and Advance Professional Studies CIAPS showed that Nigerians, who participated in the polls from across the globe, voted for the Olawepo Hashim, in five million, seven hundred and thirty five times (5,735,000), while the runner up, Sowore Omoyele of the AAC received two million, three hundred and forty two votes (2,342,000). POLL AGENDA:
We, however wish to state clearly that despite the results of these polls, no candidate is under any compulsion to drop out of Saturday Presidential race as that may not be totally productive now given INEC guidelines. The position of ADD is that these allied presidential candidates shall be aligning going forward as a formidable collaborative force to safeguard and defend the third force votes and mandate during the 2019 presidential elections

As champions of the third force agenda towards an ideological shift in Nigerian political culture, we have indeed set up this historic process to produce a formidable nationwide electoral synergy through our comissioned polling Agents and Election Vigilantes pulled from all coalescing political parties to join forces in preventing the two dominant parties in the country from riding rough shod on the third force during Saturday’s elections. This is against the backdrop of the usual brazen manipulations of elections results and vote buying in Nigeria.

Therefore by the terms of this historic arrangement, the arrowhead of this 2019 electoral synergy shall be the Consensus Presidential Candidate of the third force, Olawepo Hashim of the People’s Trust PT, a party which has now automatically become the Coalition party for the third force in the 2019 elections

Furthermore, by this historic consensus agenda of the third force movement, PT the winner’s political party has also become first among equals and shall be expected to rally others for popular votes for its symbol on the ballot, which is a pyramid placed on a green platform and shall be expected to form a coalition government of National unity and reconciliation in returning Nigeria on the path of stability and economic prosperity after its electoral victory in the Presidential elections

ELECTION MONITORING:
Finally, the Alliance for Defence of Democracy ADD wishes to announce that it shall be opening its situation rooms for the 2019 elections on Friday at Adekunle  Fajuyi Crescent off Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja, Lagos for the purpose of monitoring and recording election progress, while giving instructions to its five hundred thousand (5,000) elections Vigilantes to be deployed towards checkmating all forms of malpractices during the 2019 elections
