A presidential spirant under the umbrella of the PDP, Kabiru Taminu Turaki has mourned the passing of one of PDP’s founding fathers and the Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Mallam Adamu Ciroma.
KTT, in a statement made available to journalists, said: “The death of Mallam Adamu Ciroma is a great loss to Nigeria, and his mentorship qualities will be greatly missed by all”.
While saying Ciroma was a patriot and totally committed to the unity of Nigeria, Turaki explained that His life exemplified honesty, simplicity and moral uprightness as an outstanding politician and a true democrat”.
“As a man of distinctive character and content, he will be greatly remembered for his impactful contributions, not just to the growth of our party, but to the development of Nigeria.
“He was a man who used his positions to uplift others.
“He will be honoured by Nigerians as a man who stood out in his roles and as an example for others to follow, especially those in positions of authority seeking to emulate his legacy.
“On behalf of myself, my family, our great party and all Nigerians, I extend sincere condolences to the Ciroma family, the government and people of Yobe state on the passing of the elder statesman”, Turaki added.
He however prayed that Allah will receive his peaceful soul.
