Former deputy governor of Ekiti, Prof. Kolapo Olusola-Eleka, on Friday, has described the death of the matriarch, Deaconess (Mrs.) Dorcas Iyabode Awoyelu as being mysterious, saying that she will sorely be missed by friends and family members.
He said this on Friday while joining the family of late Awoyelu for the thanksgiving service of the glorious exit of the matriarch, which held at St. James Anglican Church, Iwaro Quarters, Erijiyan Ekiti.
According to Eleka, the deceased was a great helper to her husband and those who were around her during her lifetime.
He said: “Today, I joined the family of Sen. Awoyelu, a chieftain of our dear party, PDP at St. James Anglican Church, Iwaro Quarters, Erijiyan Ekiti today, for the thanksgiving service of the glorious exit of a matriarch, Deaconess (Mrs.) Dorcas Iyabode Awoyelu.
“Obviously, our mother is gone to be with the Lord. Though the passage seems mysterious, God understands it all. A virtuous mother who came, saw and conquered is gone.
“Mama, who was a great helper to our father, Baba Awoyelu, shall sorely be missed.
“Adieu, good mother.”
The former deputy governor prayed that God would give the family left behind fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
