Lawmaker representing Bayelsa West, Senator Ben Murray Bruce has dared Benue State governor Samuel Ortom to defect from the ruling party APC to Peoples Democratic Party PDP.
Bruce made the comment on his tweeter page, in reaction to the condolence visit which Ekiti State Governor, Fayose paid to Benue state on Thursday, following the killings perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen.
Bruce advised governor Ortom to defect to the PDP, saying “Benue and Ortom don’t belong in APC.”
The Senator expressed shock on how the President and even other APC governors have not yet gone to condole with the governor and people of the state.
According to Bruce in some of the questions he tweeted: “What is Governor Ortom still doing in the APC? Benue and Ortom don’t belong in the APC. Has the APC President visited him to condole with the state? How many APC Governors have contributed to help the victims? What benefit has Ortom and Benue derived from voting for the President?”.
Fayose equally visited the graveyard of the 73 persons killed by people suspected to be Fulani herdsmen.
