KTT, in his short condolence message, said he was devastated by the death of the elder stateman’s son, saying: “I share with you and your entire family in this moment of grief.

“I know how it feels but I want you to remember and console yourself with the time you shared with him and the good memories you had together. Time and courage will sail through this rough period.”

He equally urged Bode George to be heartened and see the death of his son as the will of Almighty God.

He said: “The death of one’s son definitely should be traumatic and much more unbearable but I pray that God will always grant you and the entire family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”

Bode George, while further lamenting on the death of his son, said: “it’s unfortunate when this kind of a thing happens. I could not believe it would come so soon like that. As a general, losing my first son really is painful but who am i to question God Almighty?.

“He has served and done well in his choosen career. You can see that on the day of his burial from how his friends described him. One of them even asked if he was really my son and I said yes. Another one said one would have expected him to be pompous and arrogant but he was not”.
