… As Emir May Be Reposed If Found Guilty – State Government
A fresh alleged sex scandal involving the controversial Emir of Kano and former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, (HRH) Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has, once again, put him in the public domain.
The latest scandal erupted with recently emerged pictures obtained by NewsBreakng, showing the Emir and a lady named as Maryam Sanda, having a romantic affair together in a compromised mood.
However, a staff member of the Emirate who craved anonymity confirmed the story, claiming that Maryam, a medical doctor working with a Non- Governmental Organisation NGO, is the lady in the picture and a known friend of the Emir.
Another source also confirmed that the said ‘affair’ between Emir and Maryam took place in one of the Emir’s properties, which is located around Zaria Road in Kano State.
In a related development, a number of sources in the Emirate claimed that the pictures may have been doctored/photoshoped by perceived enemies to malign the person of the Emir.
NewsBreakng further learnt from sources close to the Kano State Government KSG that a high level investigative panel, headed by a top government official, has been instituted to investigate the veracity of the story and the authenticity or otherwise of the pictures circulating in the media lately.
From all indications, it appears Emir Sanusi may be deposed if found guilty of the allegation by the constituted panel.
Further checks revealed that the said committee has interviewed the main persons who are privy to the details of the scandal but facts have not yet been established.
The source further disclosed that “it was the Emir who quickly sponsored a damage-control by getting prominent journalists to release fake pictures with the same woman to water down the evidence against him”.
The Kano State Government is said to have been very embarrassed by the eye-sore and dirty pictures of their King in a compromised position, a situation which has become so strong that the ulamahs (muslim faithfuls) are said to be demanding that the Emir be deposed.
Recall that the Emir, Sanusi Lamido (11) leads prayers on Fridays and ceremonies like Eid-el-Fitri, and with this shocking and heart-rending revelation, a number of Islamic faithfuls are worried about the development.
NewsBreakng equally learnt that the committee investigating the alleged scandal would examine details of the call logs of the parties mentioned, so as to making sure that truth is ultimately established in the end.
The committee, however, is expected to submit the report of its findings to the state government before the end of this week.
From sampled opinions, those who are familiar with the activities of the Emir in the Central Bank and First Bank have described him as someone who is utterly reckless with women.
