Former Deputy governor of Ekiti State, Professor Olusola Eleka, has congratulated the winner of the just-concluded election in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
Eleka, in a press statement personally signed, on Sunday, expressed gratitude to the people of the state for speaking loudly with their votes to elect the PDP candidate.
While adding that the victory was a testament to the rejection of the ruling party All Progressive Congress (APC), which performed abysmally in the state in the last few years in governance, Eleka maintained that it was a proof of hope that, at the 2023 general elections, PDP will emerge victorious.
“I wish to convey my congratulations to Senator Ademola Adeleke on his emergence as the next Governor of Osun State and enjoined him to be magnanimous in victory.
“I hope he will deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Osun with sustainable projects and Programmes that will change the story of the state positively.”
The former deputy governor equally commended the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC which, according to him, has shown to Nigerians that credible and fair elections are still possible with the way it conducted the just concluded election.
“We hope it will conduct another peaceful, fair and transparent General Elections in 2023
“My fellow patriotic Nigerians, the job is not yet done until we vote out the APC government in 2023.
“Therefore, we must all work hard to vote for the PDP and its candidate, H.E Atiku Abubakar, to lead Nigerians to greater heights.
“Once again, congratulations great people of Osun,” the statement added.
