Eight Shortlisted For UI VC Position

Eight candidates from the 15 aspirants for the position of Vice Chancellor (VC) at the University of Ibadan (UI) were on Wednesday night shortlisted.

The NewsbreakNG cannot ascertain the identities of the candidates as at this time as the screening and interview exercise went deep into the night on Wednesday.

Our correspondent gathered that the exercise was still on as at 10pm on Wednesday night.

But barring any hitch, a new VC is expected to be named by the UI Council today Thursday, October 14 going by the amended timetable put out last week.
