“My dear people of Kogi State, I extend my very warm greetings to you all, particularly the Muslim faithfuls at this festive period of Eid-el-Kabir, as we join other Muslims around the world to mark a momentous deed of Islamic religious worship.
I congratulate all Muslims on this occasion, as we thank the almighty Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala for keeping us alive to witness this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
As we celebrate today, I beseech you all to ingest the lessons of Eid-el-Kabir, which promotes the spirit of charity, piety, emancipation, the promotion of religious harmony, impartial leadership and true justice for all. Let us not relent in our efforts to showing genuine love and respect for one another.
In the spirit of this festive period, I beseech all political leaders in Kogi State to place the fundamental interest of the well-being and progress of our dear homeland above all considerations. I entreat all Kogites and political leaders to place greater interests of unity, cohesion, peace, progress and harmony in Kogi State above personal ambition and divisive sectional agenda.
On behalf of my family and loved ones, I wish the entire Muslim Ummah a joyful, blissful, and peaceful Sallah celebration.
