Senate President, Bukola Saraki has announced again on the floor of the red chamber that the Acting Inspector General of Police, Muhammadu Adamu must honour the invitation of the Senate on Tuesday, 7th of May, 2019.
Earlier, the upper chamber has summoned the acting IGP to brief it on initiative put in place to tackle insecurity situation in the country.
Recall that Saraki had blamed the former IGP, Idris Ibrahim for failing to cooperate with Parliament in tackling the insecurity problem in the country.
The upper chamber also urged the traditional rulers and all stakeholders to cooperate with security agencies in order to tackle continuous insecurity in the country.
Senate Leader, Ahmed Lawan however moved that all items on the order paper be stood down to another legislative day and Minority Leader seconded the motion.
Plenary was however adjourned to Tuesday, 7th May, 2019.
