Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar at the weekend kick-started his return bid to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with a series of meetings which started on Friday.
Sources close to the former number two man said that he flew into Yola on Friday and instantly met with some officials of the State chapter of the PDP.
The state Chairman of the PDP in Adamawa and at least six local government chairmen of the party whose locations were close to Yola were on hand for the meeting, a source told NewsBreak.

National Vice Chairman of the PDP in the North East zone, Ambassador Emmanuel Njiwah as well as a number of other stakeholders.
A meeting between Atiku and the two governors of the PDP controlled states in the zone including Gombe and Taraba was also said to have been scheduled as part of the series of consultations.
When asked when Atiku would formally declare for the PDP, a source close to the Media organisation said that the consultations are ongoing and the final date for his official return to the PDP would not be announced until after the ongoing consultations.
The former Vice President is still undertaking consultations with stakeholders in the PDP. The consultations are ongoing and the date of his official return to the PDP won’t be announced until after the consultations.
